Scott L Simpson, a Colorado native passed peacefully December 18th surrounded by family. He was born
February 4th, 1957 in Denver to parents Richard and Nancy Simpson. He graduated from Englewood
High School in 1975 and went on to graduate from University of Northern Colorado Greeley in 1980 with
a degree in business. On December 6, 1980 he married the love of his life Debra Keeton in Denver and
they recently celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary together.
Scott embodied the true entrepreneur spirit at heart, owning many businesses over his lifetime. He
started Pro::Scape Landscaping and snow removal with his best friend in 1981. In 1988, he entered the
amusement park business scene with Riverside Miniature Golf & Go-Kart Speedway bringing joy to the
many who visited to play mini golf and take a spin on the go-karts. Scott loved racing and speed and as a
family enjoyed the drag races while selling Colonial Kettlecorn exclusively found at Bandimere Speedway.
Scott assisted many people through hardship with Precious Hearts Pet Cremations and brought
enjoyment to many animal lovers with the Dogs & Cats Colorado Style magazine publication.
Through the many years of owning businesses, his enjoyment of life truly came by the way of helping
people and supporting his family. He is survived by his wife Debra and two daughters Jennifer and
Christina. Scott would remind everyone to not cry tears of sadness but tears of joy that he is pain free
and laughing with his best friend and loved ones in heaven and waiting for us all to join the party.
