Marilyn Murphy

Marilyn Murphy, 69, passed away April 2, 2023 at her home in Dillon, Colorado. She was born October 23, 1953 in Hartford, Connecticut to parents Robert and Mary (Foss) Murphy. Marilyn was ever the optimist, often the adventurer and always loyal to those she met. She was a committed worker and worked hard her entire life. She volunteered in so many ways including being a devoted Girl Scout leader and her love and service for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). She loved her children: Andrew Fortier, Julie Andrews (Mitchell), Sandra Fortier-Olsen (Paul and children) and Karen Fortier. But especially loved her grandchildren: Liam and Logan Andrews, talking about them to anyone who would listen. She will be deeply missed and eternally loved by the many lives she touched. We also find solace in the fact that she is rejoicing with God in Heaven! Thank you Lord for that. Marilyn is survived by her children as well as her sisters: Judy Keane, Kathy Dolan, Barbara Curran and Maureen Willsey and her brother Kevin Murphy. Marilyn was preceded in death by Jeffrey Fortier, parents Robert and Mary Murphy and brothers Denis Murphy and Brendan Murphy. A funeral service will be held at Dillon Community Church in Dillon, Colorado on Saturday May 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. If you knew and loved Marilyn, you are welcome to join us in celebrating her life.
